An unofficial project of Catalan constitution is presented
The 'Constituïm' group will take it to the Parliament of Catalonia when it is ready
The group Constituïm has presented the College of Journalists of Barcelona with the work it is doing on drawing up an unofficial project of a Catalan Constitution. The text will be presented to the Parliament of Catalonia in April, but a presentation has already been made of the way the group is working and the ideas behind the sections of justice, environment and security and defence. The senator Santiago Vidal, the driving force behind the project, spoke at the event.
The work of the group consisted of merging the three drafts presented in early 2015 (unanovaconstitucio.cat, led by Santi Vidal; constitucio.cat, directed by Oriol Vidal Aparicio; and Enginyers per la independència, coordinated by Joan Fonollosa) to prepare a definitive text. The group is formed by lawyers and people related to the court world, but also journalists, engineers, economists, entrepreneurs and more.
