Catalunya Acció, political organitzation that works to achieve the independence of Catalonia, and ESAIT, platform that claims the right to officialise Basque sports teams, call to boycott the Spanish anthem and the presence of King Juan Carlos I, at the Spanish Cup final that will be played at Mestalla (Valencia), FC Barcelona vs Athletic Club Bilbao, on Wednesday, May 13th. Mr. Santiago Espot, CEO Catalunya Accio, calls to "whistle and turn the public's backs to the Spanish anthem at the moment that their maximum representative, King Juan Carlos, takes his seat at the box". Mr. Espot added that "apart from this action to supporters, “...we also call all Catalans all over our country, from Salses to Guardamar, and from Fraga to Mahon, to protest from their homes, balconies, from wherever they are, this anthem. We invite all Basques to do the same too. Not only be Mestalla a protest against this imposition, but all the Basque Country -Euskalherria- and all Catalonia, a demonstration against all the impositions from the Spanish State".
